In the area of audio and surround sound the player is able to handle Dolby Digital and DTS sound up to 7.1 channel audio in HD audio or downmix.

Furthermore the FANTEC 3DS4600 media player is equipped with a Gigabit network port, which allows you to exchange data between your PC, NAS device and the media player. With the integrated internet applications it?s for example possible to listen to thousands of internet radio stations, watch YouTube videos, subscribe Podcasts or view photos via Flickr.
An Android beta version is in February 2012 as download available. This allows you to install Android apps or connect mouse and keyboard to the media player in order to browse in the internet with the Android web browser.
